Hello again everyone,
As you saw from the title the past week I took part at the On-arrival training, a 6 day training camp that every new volunteer that starts a long term EVS has to do. The ladies and boys that you see in the picture were with me during this adventure and they were simply amazing, I couldn't ask for a better company. We met each other for the first time in our life on Monday 23rd and at the end of the week we were like brothers, they're so kind and friendly, let me introduce them to you: -Ladies first so, Ivana (Macedonia) and Beyza (Turkey) -For the guys we have Emanuel (Portugal), Matteo (Italy), Enes and Ayturk (both from Turkey) I'll never stop to say what an amazing group and I'm sure that at some point I'll meet them all again, I really hope so at least. During this week we learnt loads of stuffs about EVS, how it works and a lot also about our tasks during this project but we also learnt many things about ourself, it was a great opportunity to have a look inside ourself and try to understand better who we are. Last but least I have to thank Domagoj and Lidija, our trainers, they were the best, with no doubt, they helped us to get a riddle of our doubts and weakness let's say, it was just undescribable how it went. If some of you is reading this, thank you, thank you from the deep of my soul. Anyway this is it for today, more upcoming events are about to start in a few weeks so as always stay tuned folks! :)

Nice to see you again guys!
So, my first week is gone and it seemed to me that one day is passed by since I came here in Zagreb. Well, what can I say? This city is simply amazing, if you're searching for, even the strangest or craziest thing or place you can image, you'll find it here! I'm literally speachless thinking about all the things that the other volunteers and I did in such a small amount of time! But we're here also and mainly to work, I spent my first week at the office trying to understand what my jobs are and it was fun, all my colleagues are so friendly and helpfull, trust me, you won't even feel the language gap; everytime you need something or there's something you don't understand there's someone beside you ready to help and teach you if needed. From this week I'll start traveling, I'll 10 days on a camp with 2 school groups and I'll be on the field with them! I'm so excited for this, it will be my first experience camping so far, let's see how it goes guys! I'll keep you updated later on! Stay tuned folks! Hi everyone!
Welcome to our OBC blog where my team mates and I will keep you updated on our journey with the purpose of sharing with you all how amazing being part of an EVS, especially with OBC, really is! But before we get into that I have to answer to the first question, 'Who's that guy?' Greetings everyone, my name is Stefano aka 'The Monkey', if we'll ever meet you'll understand why, I'm 22 years old and I'm from a little town named Chiavari near Genova, Italy. I'm a sport addicted, I tried many sports in my life and I still like practicing any kind physical exercise; I used to play basketball when I was a kid but then I also went swimming for a couple of years and right now I'm more into martial arts, mostly thai box and mixed martial arts, I'm not that skilled yet but I'm enjoying it so much. I'm also a musician and music is my source of energy let's say, I'm a metalhead but through the years I've listened to literally every kind of music existing I think. Last but not least, I love nature and that's the main reason why I choose OBC as EVS hosting organization and I'm happy that they accepted me in their family, their simply amazing and with experiences like this you can literally change your life into something better for sure . Stay tuned folks, the adventure it's just started and there's many things to see and places to explore together! Stefano. |
