My adventure in Croatia started on Thursday 5th of April when I took the bus from Milano to reach Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Yeah, Zagreb! This is the place I chose to be for my long term EVS project. It is crazy how fast everything happened; I applied for the project and now here I am in the Outward Bound Croatia office writing this on our Blog. Outward bound Croatia (OBC) is the place to be, the organization in which I, Rob, Eliska and Juris are going to volunteer for 9 months. According to the things I heard and photos I have seen so far it looks like we all are going to have an amazing period of our life. I am Pier Paolo, I am 29 years old Italian guy from Lodi a town nearby Milano. I Studied Biotechnology/Biology and I am ready to question myself to start this new experience. I expect to learn and try new things during this journey. I hope to make new good friends, have great time and memories to be remembered pleasantly in the future. Well, how someone said : “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” Anyway, let' s see what I can tell you so far. Two weeks have already went by and I and the rest of the team have started to know each other. We have met people in the office, other instructors and people related to OBC; They all are very friendly and nice persons. Who knows what is going to happen!! We already had a couple of fun nights with Marko and Ivana, two of our mentors. Mentors? Yes EVS volunteer get a mentor, we are not left alone ;) On Friday night, we also met other EVS volunteers from another organization. We went to their place and we had a great international dinner. We got to know Rakija (most important acquaintance of the week, especially for Rob) and It was a very unexpectable fun night! I will keep you updated but now I have to leave! STAY TUNED THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!
